ELT devices for commercial aircraft?
I read that the biggest electronic locator transmitters of commercial aircraft (Models 121 and 243 Mhz) is going to be phaze out to force airlines to install more expensive, but well above 406 MHz beacons Does anyone know of the existence commercial airlines already using the 406 MHz beacons? As the Airbus A380 aircraft from the luxury class, have you aboard the 406 models? Or is it still used by seniors? What about private planes, like the Learjet or Embraer models? Do they come from the assembly line with the 406 beacons installed? Or is it all still use the largest, cheaper version, like the rest of the industry? Besides, there are airlines or aircraft (not military), including PLB or Personal Locator beacons on board … Thanks in advance.
Airbus is 50/50 in the facility. Only you know now that Qantas is now using.
