Is it OK to leave your portable GPS unit in the care during the night when it's really cold outside?

I have a protable car GPS TomTom. and I usually leave it in my box of tooth in its leather case at night when I'm home. and its been as cold as 22 degrees at night latley. be right? or should I wear it inside? I live in a safe neighbor hood, so to be stolen is not a problem

Used, the only thing I ever noticed was if it was cold of the drive and then I say it does not start until he thought he was hot enough to be used, mine was a Garmin.
